The First Question Is Why Should I Use A CRM System?

In this audio podcast we are talking about CRM, Customer Relationship Mnagement Systesm.  What if you had one place where you could find all the information you needed about your sales team, your customers, and your prospects? What if you could click on an organization and see everyone associated with that organization. You could see their titles, and all the correspondence with them in one place? Not only can you see information you personally had a hand in. You can see anything that was done by your entire team. What if you could see every proposal that was delivered? What if you could see which stage in the sales process the sale was in? What if you could click a button and see your sales reports in real time? What if you had all your sales training and collateral material available to you and your team in one place. One place that allowed you to easily update the information and have it available to your team in real time. These what if’s can be answered with a good CRM system.

A Good CRM Solution Starts With A planning

To ensure a successful CRM implementation, planning is essential. Begin by performing a needs analysis and benefits The Right Customer Relationship Management Is Keyprojections. You do this to establish a good foundation and establish the goals for the CRM system. What you want it to do.

Assemble a Team.

Don’t try to develop your CRM system in a vacuum. It’s a good idea have a team.  Effective planning involves discussions with internal and external customers. What are the best practices for your:

  • Sales team.
  • Your marketing team.
  • Your customer service needs.
  • Accounting
  • The management team.

There is a good article titled 11 Ways to Ensure CRM Success, from Destination CRM.com from the editors of CRM magazine, this article was written in 2005, but the information is very valid and I would suggest you take a look as you start the planning process.

To help you select the right CRM system for you, I have links to five CRM systems you should look at.  Each are cloud based and each has a 30-day free trail.  I have no affiliation with any of these, But you should check them out.

Campaignercrm

Looks like a good one and it starts at $29.99 per month per user. That’s the lowest price of the four and they offer you a 30-day free trial.  Check it out at  http://www.campaignercrm.com

Salesforce.com

This is the best known of the five.  This starts at around $65.00 per month. They also have a 30-day free trial.  See what they have at https://www.salesforce.com/

Microsoft Dynamics

This on is by Microsoft.  You get the 30-day free trial. Your investment is around $44.00 per user per month. Tale a look at http://crm.dynamics.com/

SugarCRM

They too have a 30-day free trial. After the trial you are looking at about $30.00 per month. their website is at  http://www.sugarcrm.com/

eSalesTrack

I haven’t used this one either but it looks nice.  You get the 30-day free trail and this one will cost about $40.00 per month per user. Take a look  http://www.esalestrack.com.

What I like about all of them is that they give you the chance to give then a test drive so that you can see which best serves your needs.
