Why Planning Out Your Goals Is Important

As we approach a new year, we need to stand back and look at what we’ve accomplished in the previous year.  Look at what worked, and what didn’t work.  Then start planning for the new year.  In this podcast, I talk about a method I developed to help me build a plan, and the actions I’ll take to stick to it.

I don’t like new years resolutions, but this year I wanted to do planning in a way that would work for me.  What I do from a business perspective is essential, but it’s also important how I look and plan my personal life.  This includes my family, my faith, and my personal development.  So to help me in planning and goal setting, for this year, I broke it down into five steps:

  2. Look at what went well and how to improve on it.
  3. Establish new goals for both my business and professional life.
  4. Establish a timeline.
  5. Determine what I won’t do again.
